Done for a officially licensed Bettie Page trading card set. Bettie Page was a famous pinup model in the 50s and 60s, a trailblazer for the acceptance of women's sexuality. I was asked to contribute art just after the anniversary of her death, and just after I attended my first Day Of The Dead ceremony in California.
This was a cover painting for Aspen Comics, for a cool new title called Damsels In Excess. She was a villian who dealt in magic. Very cool piece to work on!
